Some Technician Responsibilities

• Performing the work specified in a repair order with efficiency and in accordance with Raceway Kia standards and procedures.
• Diagnose the reason for any malfunction and perform the repair as authorized.
• When required, communicate with various departments at Raceway Kia, such as Sales and Parts, to obtain needed information or parts.
• If additional work is identified, that information should be communicated immediately to the Service Advisor so that the customer can authorize or reject further work without timely delays.
• Execute repairs under warranty to Kia’s specifications.
• All work completed must be clearly, legibly, and accurately documented.
• A valid driver’s license is required in order to test-drive vehicles after a repair is completed to ensure that the customer’s complaint or issue has been addressed.
  As needed, attend training classes and periodically review factory bulletins to stay abreast of the latest maintenance news and requirements for specific vehicles.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, governing service repair work.
